Malorie Blackman Event - Monday 19th February

Blog Header Image
21st Feb 2024

On Monday 19th February a selection of KS3 pupils gathered to listen to a live Q&A with Malorie Blackman who spoke about her background as a writer, ranging from scriptwriting for Byker Grove to her hugely successful Young Adult series, Noughts and Crosses.

She offered words of advice for would-be authors ("Be curious") and reminded the audience that "There is no limit to where you can go and who you can be when you read." Our pupils were totally engrossed in her words, and clearly enjoyed the opportunity.
